The University of Georgia Institute of Government welcomed nine students to its Vinson Fellows Program this fall. The experiential learning program allows undergraduate students interested in state and local government the opportunity to become involved in our training, applied research and technical assistance programs. Students work with mentors on various research projects for state and local governments in Georgia and beyond. The Vinson Fellows program is supported by the Parents Leadership Council. 

This year’s fellows are: 

Pablo Ashi, a third-year majoring in regenerative bioscience also pursuing a master’s degree in public health policy and management from Charlotte, North Carolina. 

Adeline Bennett, a fourth-year majoring in poultry science from Millen. 

Zoe Cannon, a second-year majoring in political science and economics from Austin, Texas. 

Claire Doran, a fourth-year majoring in economics from Linthicum, Maryland. 

Sage Lahmers, a second-year majoring in ecology from Blacksburg, Virginia. 

Jackson Maurino, a second-year majoring in political science from Babylon, New York.   

Lyle Paquette, a fourth-year majoring in international affairs and French from Savannah.  

Connor Stager, a second-year majoring in economics and genetics from Flemington, New Jersey. 

Liberty Wisepearl, a third-year majoring in economics, international business and public relations from Johns Creek.
