Amy Smedberg leads and coordinates the Institute's student programs and engagement initiatives. In this role, she works closely with students, mentors, Institute divisions, and university partners to support recruitment, orientation, professional development, experiential learning opportunities, and the overall student employee experience. Before joining the Institute, Amy built a diverse career spanning higher education, nonprofit, and private-sector organizations. She began her career in undergraduate admissions at Clemson University and has since held roles in program management, event planning, marketing, university relations, recruitment, outreach, and sales. Throughout her work, she has focused on creating student-centered programs and building partnerships that connect organizations with the communities they serve.
